The founder of BEP had spent some twenty years working with organisations and the people within them and recognised a common problem across that time. Too many organisations didn't move the learning of the organisation forward to match changing strategy or to meet changes in the broad or the narrow environments facing the business or the particular organisation. The strategic ReLEEP™ model as seen here is a major result of this thinking.
Management Retreat arose from evolved thinking by the founder and by now a large team of employees and associates. In this case the ‘gap’ is with the company or organisation taking some time out to consider a particular issue or opportunity, and though some companies will do this and get a result, many others don’t take the time, or don’t get a result from the activity.
